St. Finbar's Parish is situated in the beautiful country of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Parish is located in Diego Martin, which is on the island of Trinidad.

In 1955 the property at Morne Coco Road, Diego Martin was purchased by the Incorporated Trustees of the Dominican Fathers in Trinidad and Tobago and the St. Finbar’s parish was established.

The first church was a pre-fabricated shell acquired from the base at Chaguaramas in 1957. The building of the present church – The Church of Mary, Mother of the Church and St. Finbar – was completed in 1967.

A predominantly "rural type" district at that time, the parish has grown by leaps and bounds with the mushrooming of residential areas such as Goodwood Gardens, La Puerta, Union Road, Westmoorings, Westmoorings-by-the-Sea and South East and the expansion into the La Horquette Valley etc.
