The Blessed Sacrament Chapel - Open 24 Hours a Day
After extensive renovations, The Blessed Sacrament Chapel was blessed on March 18th 1996, and Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration has been taking place ever since. However, we are always in need of people who would generously spend some time with our Lord. We need people to commit to spending a specific amount of time every week with our Lord in the Eucharist, for example 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. every Monday. We count on your participation to sustain Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in our parish. Commitments can be made for a limited period of time, e.g. during the Advent or Lenten season, school holidays, for a particular month or for a year. If you would like to spend some time with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, please call anyone of the following:

| HOLY FAMILY PRAYER GROUP |
|
Meets every Monday from 9:45 a.m.
The vision, for Family Prayer Group, is one of continued conversion, growing in sincerity, truth and holiness, so that by our lives we can glorify God. The group began in 1983, when friends got together to pray for a friend who was seriously ill with cancer and have stayed together since. The Prayer Group was instrumental in the institution of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and it is still close to the hearts and prayer life of all the members. Meeting are presently conducted in the sacristy. From 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. scripture is shared, followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, with the Rosary and intercessory prayers until 11:30 a.m. During Lent and Advent, retreats are organized to help members stay focused. Jesus calls us to be friends. Please feel free to join the Family prayer group. |

The Legion of Mary is a worldwide organisation of lay people in the Catholic Church. The organisation was founded in Dublin, Ireland on September 7, 1921. At present, the membership is well over three (3) million active members and 15 million auxiliary [praying] members. The main purpose of Legion of Mary is to give glory to God through the sanctification of its members. A unit of the Legion of Mary is termed a praesidium and is established with the permission of the Parish Priest. Each praesidium bears a title of Our Blessed Lady. Legionaries are under the guidance of a Spiritual Director named by the Parish Priest. |
| BEREAVEMENT GROUP |
|
Co-ordinator: Bevan de Souza, Sharon J. de Souza, Debra Ann Scott
This group of trained volunteers is present to the bereaved family during the wake and funeral, and continue to walk with the bereaved as they grieve their loved ones. The Bereavement Ministry participates in the ministry of consolation... to comfort those who mourn. Sometimes people unnecessarily end up grieving within themselves in isolation, instead of mourning outside of themselves in the presence of someone who cares enough to walk with them. |
